Linki is taking piano lessons, something she has wanted to do for a long time. Since we have the piano and their house isn’t big enough for the piano she rides the bus here, practices and then after a snack she goes home.
After I took this photo and saw all the toys you would think the kids live here.
They don’t, but Terry and I are really lucky that they live just across the field from us.

That is the cutest thing. I hope she is learning some Christmas music.

Lots of kids don’t take piano these days. When I was little all my friends took lessons. Playing piano has been a comfort all my life. Please tell her to keep studying and practice. She will be glad she did when she is older.

How lucky you are to have a budding musician to enjoy. I loved it when the kids took up instruments and practiced, especially Liz’s first clarinet which had the richest mellowest tone…well, I would be lying if I said I loved listening to Alan and the drum kit but….

I’ll bet she enjoys the visits as much as the practicing.

I took piano lessons and always wanted a piano after my mother sold mine (while I was away at college). I bought an electronic keyboard when Bob was little. He used it to make helicopter and other war sounds. He did take first flute, then saxophone, lessons for several years. I loved band practice. The first few times the kids played a song, it was terrible, but they always pulled it together after a couple of weeks and put on a good show. I think music is a wonderful thing for kids. Too bad the schools don’t agree.

Glad she is taking lessons. I took piano lessons from 2nd grade through high school… I appreciate my parents for their ‘pushing’ and encouragement… Tell her to keep at it!!!!
Hugs,

That is truly one beautiful old piano. I took lessons but I sure didn’t go on with them after childhood.

I am a firm believer that music lessons are really important. Music really does something to kids’ brains and is very good at improving math skills!
Your piano is beautiful!

.Two of our grandchildren live across the field too. We have had a big part in their lives and now the oldest will soon be 16 and is pulling away. But we feel blessed to have them close.

How wonderful! Do you give her lessons or do you have a teacher arrive? All 3 of my children took piano lessons,………..I drove them all once a week. It was a rewarding time! Pretty soon, she will be entertaining you! Your house looks just like what a good grandma’s house should look like! Blessings,Kathleen
