I just finished reading this most amazing book. As all of us who live with animals know…they have emotions, insight, and can communicate to us. Bernd Heinrich brings to us the Mind of the Raven, which I can say is very, very eyeopening. If you ever get a chance to read it, please do so.
Linda

I’ve seen shows on TV that show they are really intelligent birds.
Have a great day!

I read that and loved it. Wildlife Care had a resident crow and a resident raven when Bob and I volunteered there. They had been injured badly and could not be released when they were healed. The crow was a happy clown who was into everyone’s business. The raven thrived, but it picked out a person or two it liked and gave the rest of us a cold stare. Definitely a bird with authority.

Bernd Heinrich has A LOT of good books! If you enjoyed this one, I’d encourage you to look up his others, such as Summer World and Winter World, to name just a few. He has a captivating way of explaining so many of the complexities and wonderments of nature. Enjoy!
