Last weekend was Delta’s annual celebration—Deltarado Days.  It was also Terry’s 50th class reunion

After the parade in the morning was the

170% of the tractor’s weight!  That little 530 John Deere weighs 5,300 pounds.

It was so miserably hot it was hard to enjoy this event.  Although, I had an umbrella it still felt like a cooked hot dog when we finally left.

  1. I always wonder why they don’t hold these event right after planting has taken place for most folks—would be way cooler to do it in early summer, than now. Glad y’all had fun though.

  2. Awesome! We love the old tractor pulls! We are not John Deere folks but we do love the old Put Put tractors as we call the old JD’s! We used to have a JD-B that we restored. We would love to get a JD-R some day! Have a great day.

  3. We had our 50th reunion 3 years ago. It was great fun. So, congratulations to Terry. I hope that he enjoyed getting together with his friends from high school.

  5. Linda, Just read your comment on “Just Another Day on the Prairie” so sorry about your son-in-law. Will keep you in my prayers.
On a lighter note—that 530 sure looks in better shape than our 630. Of course today our 630 is spraying weeds and that’s one of its lighter weight jobs. My brother-in-law loves to use the 630 for anything he can.

Terry is good at those tractor pulls, isn’t he??? Did he win????

Yes—I’ll bet that you were HOT —even under an umbrella.

  7. My fiftieth year of finishing high school was in 2007. We didn’t have a reunion but I wrote a letter to my classmates and teacher. The feed back was most rewarding. There wee onluyeight of us in the class.
