In Jackson, Wyoming….Jackson Hole refers to the valley. The Mountain Men of yore called valley’s hole, thus Jackson Hole. We found
Antler arches…amazing pile of antlers…on each corner of the city park square
The we saw the Grand Tetons in the Teton National Park. I remember seeing this when I was fourteen years old and fell into awe with them at the time. My awe has not changed…they are still wonderful!
We rode the tram to the diamond and double black diamond ski slope at the peak of of the Tetons…
The wind at the top was S.T.R.O.N.G!
I could never ski down this, but I’m sure there are those out there that would delight in tackling this mountain
The moon that evening was perfect….
The next day we made it to Yellowstone.
Linda
P.S. Terry lost the first two games…then after that they tied! 🙂

Wonderful picures of spectacular views.

I’ve seen those antlers…. amazing. Mother and I took a trip years ago when she was healthier. Jackson Hole was wonderful. We saw Yellowstone, too, especially Old Faithful. Glad you had a good trip.

Yes! My neighborhood and FAVORITE place in the world to visit. There used to be only two antler arches on the square. Two more have been added over time. Once while we were waiting by one of the arches a young lady got all indignant and exclaimed, “Just think how many elk had to give their lives to make these! This is terrible!” Guess she didn’t know that elk and deer shed their antlers every spring. Hee hee. The Grand Tetons are truly grand and Yellowstone Park is amazing every time we visit. However, since those places get pretty crowded in the summer, we prefer to visit in May and after Labor Day.

Linda, Once again I am playing blog catch-up. What an amazing adventure you are on, I am so envious…The scenery is simply spectacular, unlike anything seen here in the Northeast… Looking forward to more adventure photos. Greetings from Maine, Julie.

Wonderful photos, Linda. Glad you included one of Terry after you got down off the mountain. With his ‘wings’ spread like that, it looked like he might take flight!

We only spent one day in the Tetons –and didn’t get to Jackson Hole. There was so much smoke from wildfires there that we couldn’t get many good pictures of the mountains… Disappointing… BUT–we hope to go back sometime.
Hugs,
Betsy
