Busy, busy! I hope to get myself organized soon…but until then just know
The wait at the silo’s is intense…four hours yesterday, then unload, back into the field until dark.
Take a load down BEFORE six in the morning…get in line, wait…
You get the picture.
Hope to get around to visit everyone soon!
Linda

That wait time is unreal and I’ll bet there’s nothing you can do about it.

The waiting is no fun, but I suspect that is just part of harvest time. I hope the weather continues to cooperate.

Feeling a little idle here at the moment. Glad all is up and running..maybe not quite smoothly with that horrid wait, but at least well at your end

Good luck with a bumper harvest – at least the weather looks like it is co-operating at present, and I sure hope that it stays that way until the last cob is removed.
It has rained north of Briisbane so the farmers/cattle people are happy, some more is needed around Brisbane to green up the lawns and parks.
Cheers

I see the harvesters at the seed company next door (owned now by Dow Chemical Co.) just finished with this year’s crop. It’s not often our two areas are in synch with farming chores. Good wishes for a nice big harvest and no broken machinery.

So the corn is hauled to market right from the field? You don’t stare any corn to sell later?

Harvest– what the farmer waits all year for and for you it is happening now. Thanks for taking time to post. So be safe, enjoy it all and above all, give thanks to the Lord for his provision.

As I was driving last night through Iowa and Illinois there were a bunch of farmers taking advantage of the dry fields to get them plowed under.I feel bad for them with the drought but I’m glad Colorado farmers were there to pick up the slack this year.. 🙂
