The 4010 is sick.  The hydraulic’s aren’t working very well.

Tractor-hospitalSo yesterday, Terry and a good friend of his, started helping the poor old Deere to feel better.  This tractor is one of the main workhorses of our small but might fleet.  Each one has a particular purpose, with this one being the tractor which has the loader on it.

Sick

The loader is another workhorse; used for so many things.

Today is wonderful…it is warm enough I am able to open the windows upstairs (where the rooms get unbearably stuffy and hot).  This where I keep my computer and tiny little office.

Just look at the beautiful sunlight shining on the Roubidoux Canyon!! You can see that our mesa, California Mesa drops off and then the canyon starts.

Sunlight-in-the-canyon

The wind is just now coming up, although it seems to be a warm wind.

My-fav

My favorite little spring time flower is blooming…I so enjoy these cheerful and bright little ‘weeds’!

Today I’m working in my yard, there are things I have been wanting to do — I’ve just been waiting for a nice day to do them in.

My wish is that this is a wonderful day for you, full of the perfect weather for your area, and you are able to accomplish whatever you set out to do—even if it is to rest.  Resting is very necessary; as much as work is.

Best Wishes My Friends,

Linda

  1. Your day in Grand Junction sums up this time of year for me…there is so much to do. I like the things that can only be done in the spring, but it’s so fleeting. I need a world where April and May take up half the year. November, December and January can be cut to a week each.

  2. This tractor if not 50 years old is close to it. Please let us know whether parts are available and what do you think the problem is. The pumps are external so it must be internal leakage.

It’s 70 and we have some of the yellow as well.

  3. Glad you are having some better weather, Linda… We are having a gorgeous day here. We also hiked yesterday –and loved it!!!!!

Hope you get your Deere fixed…. Don’t need any ‘sick’ workhorses!!!!

    Hugs,

  4. Seems like when you need the old work horse it doesn’t want to be needed! I don’t hear of too many people that like that wonderful “weed flower”. I don’t mind seeing that bright yellow color in my lawn.

  5. Oh gosh, I hope that tractor gets well, definitely not a good time for it to call in sick. You’ve taught me that not all weeds are OK, but if you like dandelions (as I do), then they’re definitely not weeds, they’re wildflowers ;>)! Glad you have some Spring.

  6. I have plenty of your favorite Spring flower in our yard that I would be glad to let you have. We had a beautiful day today, but Betsy and I went to Tullahoma to see my Dad, so I didn’t get to work outside at all. I hope your sweet Deere is now healthy again.

  7. So I hope the doctor fixes the old John Deere so it is healthy again. It’s great that you have some decent weather. We could use some improvement here. It’s getting better but not quite good enough. We don’t wan to open the windows and let the heat out.

  9. Glad to hear you had a nice day. The weather here was great, if a bit warm for my liking.
Our little tractor has become indispensable. Hope you can get yours back at 100% soon. ♥
