Terry got the hay all in and most of it sold…orders came in Friday.  Come Monday the most (of the rest) of the hay will leave.

Hay

The dogs and I got our part taken care of so Terry could finish up his.  Aren’t they a hoot ‘helping’ me?

Dogs-on-write

It’s raining here.  The rain is nice.  It started around 8 in the evening and has only stopped around right now.  All the dogs are outside, which I like and so do they.  The other nice thing about this rain is our temps have dropped to the high 70s, most enjoyable.

To-catch

Our youngest grandchild is delighted with all the hummingbirds…she keeps hoping if she stands really still one will land on her.

Buyers

Saturday afternoon I went with Terry to one of the 4-H and FFA annual livestock sales where Terry was representing a company he is on the board as a buyer. It’s been a long time since I sat in a sales ring watching kids bring their animals through for the sale.  I found the experience lots of fun.  I would post the photos here but I didn’t do a very good job taking them, they all turned out poorly.

Since it’s too wet to do anything outside I think this day is going to one of catching up and taking it easy all at once.

I hope you enjoy your Sunday…it is really nice here!

  2. It’s good that you have a day in which you can relax and get caught up on things. I never seem to get caught up — I just try to keep from falling further behind! I’m glad you got some rain and cooler temperatures.

  3. It was nice of your helpers to save you a seat! Sounds like a great day, knowing the hay is taken care of and a little down time. Had to smile at the grand waiting for a hummer to land on her. It reminded me of the time my brother told me if one was able to sprinkle salt on a bird’s tail, the bird could be held. I’m sure he got a kick out of watching me run the yard with the salt shaker.

  4. Yea on getting the hay baled AND sold! Feels pretty good. And now the rains can come. Love the puppies on the 4 wheeler. Too cute. Our dogs LOVE to ride the 4 wheeler. Or anything, anytime, anywhere. Your granddaughter has a lot of patience to wait like that. I bet she will be rewarded with a bird buzzing her! 🙂 Have a good Sunday.

  5. Glad the haying is all done but the final selling! You looked like you had some great helpers there,
they made sure the 4 wheeler didn’t run away!! 🙂 Nice to have wanted rains now, isn’t it?!

If your granddaughter stands still long enough, one just might land on her! Too cute!

Hope your day was nice and restful, Linda. We all can use those easier days once in a while.

    Blessings!

  6. It looks like there was an awesome yield for the alfalfa. Great that it’s done and sold. We had a cool, nasty rainy day yesterday so in the afternoon I just went to bed and slept a couple of hours.

  7. What a fun way to spend a Saturday afternoon. We’re still working on our hay and hope to finish it by the end of the week if the weather will hold out. My daughter took pictures while they working in it last week and I posted them on my blog. It was such a beautiful day and I was stuck in an office. Retirement can’t get here fast enough to suit me.
