It was just two days ago we had a fun, playful, wind…more than a breeze; way too much to fly a kit. A wind that I enjoyed.
Yesterday we had a bad wind…a very persistent wind full of trash and leaves, dirt and ugly dark clouds.
The hands of the wind flipped tree branches and slapped things together to make a huge LOUD wind. We even lost power for a spell.
The trash blew all over the yard, the roads, and the fields like escaped animals from the zoo.
A regular Bully wind!
March is known as the blustery month…and so it ’tis. Then comes April. April can be cold and chilly with lots of rain, but it can also be sumptuous with color breaking forth in a riot of colors.
Only a few more days to go and we will see April. Hopefully all of those in the east who are still have January weather will also burst forth into warmth in April. Also, hopefully, the rains will come to California and the arid southwest!
Hopefully!
Linda

oh, dear! i don’t like those fierce winds, either! especially when power lines are involved!

That does look threatening. We had gale force winds a couple days, but a warming trend (if a couple days can be called a trend) is coming.

You captured some great photos of the skies with that crazy wind. Yes, let’s hope the east sees spring soon and that California and other areas get their much-needed rain! Also can’t wait to see the spring colors on your blog.

Your bad winds have made it to Tennessee. I guess they are supposed to last for about a day, and then Spring MIGHT decide to come and stay. I’ve got my fingers crossed.

That looks menacing – a good day to bunker down and stay inside.
We had a wild wind storm yesterday which swept across the Baltic from Poland. Unfortunately, living where we do, we are first on the list of towns to get a buffetting. There are quite a few trees down and so the men are out with chainsaws today cleaning up the worst of it. Here’s hoping that April showers will bring forth those May flowers – for everyone in the northern hemisphere.

As George said, we now have those horrible winds today. Makes it feel so much colder here.
Love your header…

I thought that it had rained in Calif. At the time of the Oscars there was rain everywhere, wasn, t this enough?
We had a few days of really warm weather but now it has gone chilly again, not cold but cold enough for a fire in the evening.
photos of splash pool are getting nearer to blog.
stay dry, out of the wind, but most of all, stay safe

Been windy here too. Chance of rain for the next week. But warmish temps. I’ll take it!
It needs to quit raining on the west side. I know way too many people that were affected by that slide.

Beautiful header photo, as always. And that’s what I’d call a dirty wind, as opposed to a clean wind. It looks cold, too. I hope you get some rain soon, to damp down the dust and warm things up.

Oh, I do empathize!!! We had brown sky here all day today. It has died down a bit now and the sky is a beautiful Spring blue. We did get .2″ of rain day before yesterday, so we have a start of some moisture. Every little bit helps. April begins our “stormy season”, so we too will wait to see what it brings.
Blessings!

That wind looks really nasty. Some rain would be very welcome, I should think.

I can feel the grit and alkali dust in my eyes just looking at those. I remember those winds this time of year. I just hope you don’t have any more fires.
