I am late today! Very late!
You see my morning raced by in the wind (DO NOT PROCEED THE PHOTOS BELOW ARE HIDEOUS!!!)
Our oldest daughter called saying she cut her thumb, but come Quickly….Quickly!
So I did. Oh My GOODNESS!!!
The morning was spent in the hospital emergency room.
Thankfully she will be okay. The thumb has been saved!

Oh, poor girl, what a dreadful fright for you both. How on earth did she manage to mangle herself so badly?

She fell and grabbed for something but it turned out to be not what she wanted. 😦

Oooh, nasty! I’ve done that before with something hot. Shock upon shock, and pain upon pain. I wish her healed very soon.

They said in a week the stitches can come out…a week doesn’t seem too long.

No, that’s pretty good. But it’s a pain to look after stitches: don’t get them wet for a couple of days, be careful not to knock them on anything. But at least she’s back together in one piece!

They aren’t sure about her thumb nail, only time will tell there. Let’s hope it stays!

I’m so glad you could be there for her & that they could save her thumb. So scary when it’s your child (adult or not.) Having partially amputated my right thumb & index fingers I know how that hurts. My thoughts are with her. She has a good excuse to not cook or do dishes.

She is a hair dresser by trade so she is terribly worried she won’t be able to do her work….well, the Dr said not for a week or so!

Ouch! I’m glad the thumb was saved and you were there for her. That looks like it could hurt for a few days. My eyes watered. . .

Oh, my! I’m so glad you are nearby, and her thumb was saved! I hope it doesn’t interfere with her job–though I’d be so afraid I’d bang it on something. It hurts just thinking about it. Praying for a speedy healing.

Not a great way to start the morning but glad no permanent damage was done. Tell her we’re all thinking about her and praying for a quick healing!! One thing that we use here for quick healing is pure honey. Pour a little on the wound in a few days and wrap with gauze to keep it on the cut for several hours and then wash thoroughly. I’ve been known to keep it on the cut for 24-48 hours but she must not get it wet.
