Terry and I had to go to Grand Junction last week to purchase a few items. While at Home Depot
A man was just coming back from taking his two Macaw Parrots for their daily walk, through the building then a wee trip around the parking lot
It was so much fun meeting these very tame birds. Neither one is tethered to the walker, they sit calmly talking loudly to everyone about everything they see. Then after the wee walk about…they get to go to Sonic and have a CORN DOG!!! Oh! MY! the delight in their little voices when their Dad asked them if they were ready to go to SONIC!!
I enjoyed getting to meet these birds and their human.
Then on the ride home…among the hills and canyons a very faint rainbow appeared.
A day as perfect as anyone could dream!

He said he and his wife have been taking them ‘shopping’ every day since they were hatched. They are eleven and 12 now. Very neat!

How simply gorgeous… these beautiful birds live a very long time and will outlive their devoted owners… I feel like I do with disabled children who rely on their parents… and hope these two can always stay together and be happy with successive parents’

Yes. I thought of that also. They will need to stay together and have humans who understand and allow them the same experiences.

Wow! What an awesome adventure. The birds were beautiful and their people also quite unique. A little love goes a long way. Love the rainbow. We don’t seem to get enough sun for them. ;( Have a terrific Thanksgiving, Linda. And Boomer too. 😉
