We still have some green leaves hanging around here and there. I’ll look one day and they will all be on the ground. It will be sudden…no turning brown—just done! Dropped.
And, of course, there are all the leaves on the ground I need to clean up.
Which probably won’t happen now until March. 🙂

I’ll bet eucalyptus leaves are hard to rake up

Chestnut trees are worse. Not only do you get gi-hugic leaves, you get chestnut needles balls, all over the place! Those things can stab you, even thru some shoes.

Oh, gosh! No we don’t have them here.

You are lucky. They are pretty, majestic trees but, BOY they make a mess. Even the squirrels know to wait for the needle balls to open themselves, before they retrieve the nuts. And, it is not even our tree! Next door neighbor’s tree, right on the property line. And, it is so big, I fear when it decides to fall.

Love that shot of your garden tools against the ole milk house (?)
I need to clean my tools up, which probably won’t happen till March-April when the 21+ bags of pine needles get raked up… I’d help rake yours!

WOW! That is a HUGE amount of needles!

Darn leaves anyways! They kill what little grass we have so I try to get 90 % of them. I really hate when they drop after it snows! Hope you get to enjoy some calmer days after the corn harvest!

Me too, although that is machine repair time

There are probably a bunch of little critters in those leaves and they need to stay there until spring, so you’re good :-).

I think so too. I like to leave them for the warmth
