My oldest human sister bought me an amazing gift!
It sounds like a real bird, it flops like a real bird and tastes like a real bird.
I LIKE IT!
Mom is always taking the real birds away from me. She says I can’t eat real birds only mice. She then puts the real birds somewhere….I look but I can never find them.
Wherever Mom puts them I hear Mom say—“Now you are safe! Heal quickly and fly away.”
I have to really attack this bird so Mom will leave it alone.
BIRD! BIRD! BIRD! BIRD IS THE WORD!!!!!

We have a couple of siamese who are indoor cats and have never caught a bird, but they sure do like to sit by the window and watch the birds at the feeder.

It’s a good idea to leave your mom’s birds alone.

Charlee: “Everybody’s heard about the bird!”
Lulu: “Earlier this week I caught a gopher and I was having such fun with it, flipping it into the air and stuff. Then Dada called me into the house and gave me some treats and he went away for a minute and when he came back he let me out again and the gopher had disappeared. I thought I had done it in, but I guess it had a little life left in it after all.”
Oona: “Or perhaps Dada tossed it over the fence for the coyotes …”
Lulu: “What?”
Oona: “Nothing.”
