Boo Berry and I always take a wee walk about— it’s good for her. She is pretty sedentary. If I’m working outside, she stays right by me, lying in the shade. Or if the day is cool, in a spot of sunshine.
She doesn’t really do lots of exploring….only if I’m close, close by.
Some of this is the nature of her breed, but the other is conditioning. She lived in a tiny kennel all of her life, from birth until I got her.
Gradually, she has developed the confidence to hang outside for a spell with
THE CAT!
But mostly she wants to be close to me. It’s a process, but one we are making.
At least I don’t have to worry about her running off. 🙂

We have Siberian huskies and the world is theirs’ to explore. Thus, we have to leash them. They take us on 2-3 mile hikes every day, a good thing thing for all of us. Huskies have a well earned reputation for mischievousness and talkativeness.

That’s how it was with my Honey… the progress comes from their seeing that the person they trust and love, loves them back. You and Boo have gotten that part wrapped up.
