It is finally getting light(er) in the mornings so I can sort of see to do the chores. (Without and outside light!) YEAH! Only 8 more weeks until Spring!

NEW to Us Combine
Terry bought another combine (bigger/better/diesel), the problem with getting it was getting it home. The combine lived in Clifton, Colorado 44 miles away from our house, 13 miles of back country roads, 31 miles of BUSY four-lane highway.
After waiting and waiting for a good day, with no snow on the roads, we took off to get it….and I FORGOT L MY CAMERA!!!! L
I have the photos on my camera phone, but I can’t figure out how to get them off, but that is another story for another time.
Terry D.R.O.V.E. the combine home with me following with the lights flashing. It was a four hour trip, averaging a speed of 12 miles an hour. What a long Saturday afternoon that was.
There were scary moments when a semi got too close to the combine, a driver of a car decided to flip us off and in general be a jerk, but we made home.
Whew!
(And we have even MORE mud!)
Happy Birthday to Me-And the Mud is Coming Back
60 Years Old!
Boy is that hard to believe. I can remember thinking my grandparents were old and they were in their 50’s at the time.
Today I am 60, now that I am here I can say I don’t feel old, every day is a new day full of hope and wonder. I am blessed and grateful to live 60 years on the face of this earth. I have a wonderful family, great friends, new and old, and even amazing enemies, who have helped me grow and expand more than I would have ever thought I could when I was 30.
I have wrinkles and age spots and grey in my hair, but I have earned them all!
And if I weren’t so afraid had more courage I would post my today photo…but, maybe when I’m 70, older.
For now, Thank you each and every one for helping me celebrate this Happy to be 60 Birthday!
The Days are Growing Longer
I am sooo happy! The days are growing longer and longer so there is more daylight to do chores in. Here is a neat site

7 Years Old! And he got a really neat beanbag with his name on it from Momma and Dad! His very favorite present!
What a Difference a Day Makes
Please take a little trip with me; it is only about 7 miles, all along country roads, until just before my work.
Usually I enjoy every bit of the way, but not driving on these roads TODAY.
Part of the beautiful farm ground has given way to a clump of houses called a subdivision. It is smack dab in the middle of farms, but I guess that is cool, ………………… I guess.
I get to go by a swamp, a lovely little creek and a stretch of cattails,
Until I hit the main highway. U.S. Highway 50.
I am usually early enough to work I don’t have much ‘rush-hour’ traffic. I am glad about that on days like today.
LOOK! We have MUD!
But it is still cold, drops close to zero nightly (that will help the noon thaw), and warms up to around 32 for about an hour daily!
I still have to put the heat lamp on the chickens, but I don’t have it turn on until it hits 21 degrees.
Still we HAVE Mud! YEAH!
Garage
Although our son-in-law is a history teacher and coach at Delta High School he also has a carpentry business on the side.
This is a workspace and garage he is building about 8 miles from our house. He was contracted to frame it in, then someone else will take over.
Pretty Cool Garage!
I’M. Sick. Of. This. Cold. Heck! I’m sick of winter!
Okay, I’m ready for spring! It can come ANY TIME NOW!
Oh! I guess it won’t happen for ten or twelve more weeks but still…..
The days are warming up to a real 28 degrees and falling down to 7 or below. The ice hangs heavy on the trees until around noon or so then we have a little ice storm.
