Thanks for your comments. Terry sells them on the open market. Prices are really good right now (I hope the prices stay!!). He hauled them to the beanery this morning, so now the bean guys will see what the market is, then let Terry know the price, ask if he is ready to sell, if he is then they bag them up and ship them out. If he isn’t they hold them until he is ready to sell.
As for recipes…..not really. Baked beans, fresh beans, red bean soup, and chili is about it.
Do you have some good recipes? I am always open to new things.
Interesting!! I never knew that how they harvested dried beans before.
What do you all do with the beans? Any good recipes?

No I dont have any recipes to share. We only eat beans in chili, refried beans ,and pork’nbeans for cowboy hash.

I love red beans. As a vegetarian I use these little babies (along with black beans)in almost every thing. It’s good to know where they come from.
