Fall is in the Air

Frost is on its way

The corn is ripe; there are dents in each kernel

And the irrigation water has been turned off until spring.

  1. Last week looked and felt like fall here. But this week we are to have temps in the 80’s. I hope so as my green beans are still producing and they are so good this year.

We have had many meals of them. And I have processed 28 pints of dilly beans. Ever have them?

  2. just did my last “mow” of the season today. As much as I adore mowing in spring and early summer, it has become a tiresome chore by now, and gives me yet another reason to look forward to the change of season =D

  3. Love your blog! Such beautiful pictures! I’d like to move up there, but alas, I would freeze my tootsies off 🙂
Jake-dog will be in the Colorado Springs area on 40 acres. I think he’ll be beyond happy there and definitely well taken care of. I’d like to see the dog gain 40 lbs and I bet he does!
Will be back, this is a great blog!

  4. Looks like Terry will be getting some well deserved rest from the farm and you too! Looks like you have had a wonderful harvest this year. I wish you get the best prices available on everything!!
I am making some salsa this week and I have found canning is alot of fun. I enjoy it most when I have a friend to can with but it’s enjoyable all the same.
Hope you have been able to get food storage stuff taken care of this year.
Lots of love to you and the family! Teri and Dustin
