Last Year’s Leaves

leaves

The storm hit our area yesterday, bringing a strong wind with sleet and rain.  Our trees were still hanging onto thier summer leaves, but today, the leaves are all on the ground.

Although this looks like lots of bugs, it is really leaves being pushed off the trees.

  1. Hi, I think we must be experiencing the same powerful wind-although we didn’t get any snow as predicted it is cold(low 40’s)but it is really the wind that chills you to the bone. Blessings to you this week.

  4. Hi Linda,
Ilove your photo – your right it does look like bugs 🙂 It always makes me sad when all the leaves are gone – now everything is just bare. I’m happy when the snow arrives – at least everything looks clean.
Thank you so much for my award!! I am honored – I’m a little under the weather today but I’ll be sure to post it on my blog tomorrow. Thanks again!

  5. your border collie story (which you left on my blog) really touched me! boscoe (our 13-year-old dog) is a border collie. the farmer who had him was going to drown him. can you imagine?

have you read jon katz’s latest dog book? i think it’s called “izzy and lenore.” izzy is a border collie who was rescued in much the same way yours was. you’d like the book.

  6. I hope the storm didn’t do any damage. Are trees have long lost their leaves and they are bare for the year. We’ve had snow too but not much is sticking thank goodness. Your photos were incredible.
