The gated pipe had a hard time this year, with all the snow the cows really couldn’t see the pipe (no we don’t pick it up yearly, it is just too hard and there is just too much of it).
Still it was only two sticks and those can be ‘mended’. We won’t have to replace them, just patch them. Stay tuned so you can see what a ‘patched pipe’ looks like. Nothing like patched jeans! J
Life on a Colorado Farm 
I can imagine that you are all as ready for spring as we are! So far we’ve been lucky and have had no major breakdowns or mishaps but we still have plenty of winter left. Gates really suffer here from all the ice and snow. The ice is so hard on the cows – we try to make sure they don’t slip and hurt themselves but when you can’t see the ice under the snow, it’s almost impossible – subzero temps again tonight 😦

Everything that you described to me would happen with my leg has happened. Im sure now that it was a spider bite. I still wont kill the spiders:)

Easy fix! The cows are off the hook! Patching it is way easier than hauling it all in and stacking it up:)
