I had a dream last night…it was a lovely dream.
Roo was there
(I’m the one RIGHT next to him)
I could hear his lovely song
(That’s Mom in the corner, she ALWAYS has a camera)
What a lovely song it was, I thought I’d hum it all night long, but only in my dreams.
In the morning I was laughed at because of my dream.
And I must say that Roo was rather mean to me.
I think just remembering Roo is much better than real thing.

Ouch! I think that hen could use some duct tape. Our hens are much happier without roosters. Beautiful chickens! Love the color. I wish all the leaves would fall out of our trees.

I thought it was you that had a dream at first….till you said it was about Roo. So funny. He was a meanie. Are there ‘nice’ roosters? I only go by the one that chased me as a kid….he was a meanie.

Honey is so much better off with just dreaming. Roo liked his sex a tad rough on the rough side.

I know you miss Roo but he was a little rough with you. it is better to be out of a relationship like that. you can come live with me in florida and just bask in the sun and be a kept lady.

I don’t like having fewer than a dozen hens with a rooster. We’ve got 8 hens right now with ours, and it’s still a bit much for them. Glad she’s sporting a full fluff now. :o)

Ugh – and I was just over at a friend’s yesterday picking out a new rooster to rescue. Maybe I should rethink it. My hens have gotten upset by Hank and I thought maybe some leadership would help. Maybe not.
