I’ve been so tired of being cold!
Even though we have a light on the chicken water it still will freeze in -* weather. And the cows have a heated tank, but they still need the pond in the upper pasture chopped open.
37* today…even while I write this. The sky is a bright blue and I’m stuck inside.
Oh, well. It’s still melting and that is a joy!
Linda

Glad it is warmer there!I can’t imagine it being -* here! The top of our pool is still frozen. I think it is 39 here….

That is one thing that I don’t like and that is the cold, I am very cold blooded. I actually do alot better in the heat than the cold.

Mieke-I looks promising for a short January thaw, but I will take it. I need a break from this bitter cold which has gripped us since December and from looking at all white. Even if it is sparkly!
Lisa-You are so right! Chickens do much better with ‘space’ and being outside of the coop and run makes for some very happy hens. You have look for their eggs, but that’s okay.
Callie-Then your rain will make it to us in snow. But I’ll take this right now for right now!!!
Julie-37* yesterday and possible temperatures of 38-40* today. Oh the joy of warmer temperatures!
Leenie-But a break is very welcome…..very! Which makes me wonder what they really mean by global warming!?☻
Faith-Just to be able to go outside and now turn to ice is wonderful. Then to walk around and see brown spots and tufts of dried grass…just plain delightful! ☺
Lisa-Me too. I love the heat, but Terry will actually get sick from the heat. I would rather bake than freeze. Come on Spring!

Isn’t that a beautiful sight. We had strong winds come through last night and the temperature reached 62 degrees. It’s back down in the forties now but it was nice for just a bit.

Glad to know it is starting to melt. We had snow and ice here south of Atlanta this weekend too. I want to go back to northern CA… it was like 46 there… and they thought it was cold! It was nice.
Stay warm!

Hi-D-We aren’t melting today. The bitter, horrible cold is all back, 20*. I’m really worried about the food crops for all the farmers. Cold in Atlanta is not good at all.
I’m glad you had fun, a break is always nice.
Kath-We are back to 20* I was SOOOOOOO excited over the two days of 35-37* of which I hoped we had hit the January thaw. No such luck.
