I agree, the lack of light and sunshine makes it much harder. But there is hope: I saw a bunch of Geese flying straight to the North this morning, they know SPRING is coming !
I agree with the excellent comment of Leenie, it does resemble scenes from the Siberian clips from Dr. Zhivago! Will it never stop for you so as to be able to start planting?
The geese on their migratory flights north might just be the sign that you need. I sure hope so. The cattle, sheep and chooks must be sick to death of all the snow.
Here only 2 days to Autumn, so you have 3 until official “Spring”.
So we got excited as we seen geese in formation here in Rochester MN. Spring is coming…..or so we thought! Then we were told that there is a lake in town that’s warm so there are swarms of them year round here.
UGH. Oh well it was a happy thought til our bubble was busted. : )
On Saturday when my brother comes we will go check out these geese.
Wow—I know you must be horribly tired of winter this year, Linda. We have had an unusually hard, snowy, dreary, no-sunshine winter in TN also… We’re having a wonderful time in Arkansas–but it’s passing by too quickly. The weather has been great considering the fact that it was snowing at home.
The photo looks other worldly. Like a cover on a sci fi novel.
We just get a taste of weather while you have weather in spades.
Soon you will have Spring. Honest!
Spring might come fast for you..this might be the last snow..out in Washington and Oregon they have spring flowers coming up.. it must be a sign!! I am way tired of this winter crap..we have been WAY below zero the last two mornings ( -24 and -12) now that sucks. I won’t begin to look for spring for a long time yet up here in Siberia/Minnesota:(
Oh Linda! I’ve thought about you during my absence and wondered how you all were getting through and marveled at your prophecies (or good observations of nature that advertised this massive winter event). It’s hard to live without the sun. Wish I could send you some!!
That must be almost unbearable. My daughter calls those scenes a “Whiteout”. Its a pity Colin didn’t have some sunny bay shots to send you to warm you up.
Dismal. We have had a few days of sun now it really helps to lift ones spirit. Before the sun though we pretty much looked like you. Loved your Snow family made me smile. Hey if you can’t beat it find a way to enjoy it….. and it looks like you guys did.
You know……..this seems to be the strangest winter for us in west Texas. We have never gotten this much snow and these many snowy days as we have had this year. It is supposed to snow again Monday, and we just thawed out from snow last Wednesday. However, the snow doesn’t stay here like it does on you. By the afternoon, the snow has all melted. So the moisture for us is wonderful. Stay warm! blessings,Kathleen
Oh wow…I just cant even begin to imagine what it would be like to only see the sun afew days since October!!!!!!
That just blows me away,lol!
I hope things warm up soon for you,I m wishing for cooler weather myself :0)
at least we have had sun…I love the sun (o:

No sun here either just the noise from the wind and rain-will this ever end. I really don’t mind winter, but I do need to see the sun.

Bleck! The gray skies, rain, and brown fields around here have the same dreary affect. I am so looking forward to spring and summer!
