Raining, Snowing and Stuck in Traffic

Since it was raining on Sunday

We decided this was a good time to go visit Terry’s Mom and Sister and Brother-in-law

And maybe visit a John Deere dealer or two and go to a couple of farm sales

We have to travel over the Rocky Mountains to get to the eastern side of Colorado.

As we go the traffic picks up and up and up….UGH!

Signs warn us all along that the traffic into Denver is immense and to expect delays.

Boy,  were they ever right!  See the cars W.A.Y. back there.  We kept along at 8 miles an hour until after the tunnel.

We made it.  We got to have a nice evening with family and the next day took in some dealerships

And a retirement farm sale.

We got home late that night.  I am really glad to be back home.  I am NOT a city girl grandma.

If the weather holds we will begin tractor work Saturday!

  1. Oh I hate traffic also, Linda… I am not a city girl either. I hate it when there is a wreck on the interstate and we get stuck in traffic for hours… NO FUN….

Glad you got away though –and visited family. That was nice.

    Have a great day.
    Hugs,

  2. Well, girl, the mountains are beautiful, but I’m like you, don’t like traffic or the city! Glad you made it home safely. We’re to get a storm thru tomorrow night-rain/snow/sleet mix. Joy!!!?? It’s to be the vernal equinox on Saturday-SPRING and am I ready. Take care.

    Blessings!

  3. You certainly have lovely scenery, but you can keep the snow! Did you make a purchase at the JD dealership? Like the new header, might that be a quince or crab apple?

  4. You sure didn’t pick a good day for a drive! I used to loathe driving in the rain. Here and I suppose in Colorado, we have/you have drivers who for reasons of unbelievable stupidity drive faster so as their cars won’t get wet! And they wonder after the event why they were in an accident????
Sure is a lovely (???) backup of cars and trucks on that highway all puffing out lovely fumes into the atmosphere as they putter along at snails pace, at least with all that traffic the “speed hogs” are restrained!

    Cheers

  5. I wish we were that close to tractor work, boy it is muddy here! I don’t think we could get out in the fields if we wanted too with 4 wheel drive;)

  6. Colorado is a beautiful state. And Denver is a lovely city, just not my idea of a great place to live. All those cars and all that junk in the air. No thanks. Glad you made your trip safely. Best wishes on good tractor weather. All that rain is not gonna help the mud situation. No much better here.
