2010 in review

I started my blog in 2008, I’m going on three years now.  Boy, does time fly by.  WordPress sent out  stat report on how well my blog did last year and I must admit I was pleasantly surprised.

Once more I THANK each and everyone of you for stopping by either to just visit or to visit and comment.  I have enjoyed getting to know all of you, some people comment once or twice some daily.

I started blogging to form a type of documentary of what it took to work the land on a small (80 acre) farm on the western slope of Colorado.  Gradually it has become a form of communication between me and you.  One that I have enjoyed very much.

Once more, I very sincerely Thank You for stopping by and commenting.  As the song says:  Getting to know you, getting to know about you….is, well, fun!

  1. Well done Linda – your blog is most informative on life on a Colorado farm.
Ironic – isn’t it? August – all your rain and my “tongue in cheek” comment.
Looks like that comment has come back with a vengeance to Qld!
    Cheers

  2. Linda – it’s been so nice visiting you over the past couple of years. I’m not by here everyday, heck, I’m behind on blogging, too. But I’ve enjoyed hearing about your world and your daily life. THat’s a neat that WordPress does. Wish Blogger did that. I’d be most interested to know how my blog’s done, too. Here’s wishing you a lovely new year, showers of blessings raining down from Heaven above, and peace and contentment for you and your family! See ya later!

  3. Those stats are so funny. Sometimes you scratch your head over how on earth people manage to find you, and the answers are so cool. :oD

Great job on your blog. It’s got a great title and simple subjects that draw people. And reading about your adventures is always a treat.

Here’s to a great 2011 for you and for your blog!

  4. Of course we keep coming back…we’re friends. Your stats are great. Blogger is not that great in the stats department so I have no idea how many page views I’ve had.

  5. Congrats, Linda. Those are great statistics… You do such a great job with your blog. Isn’t it amazing how many people look at the blog –and never comment???? That happens on my blog also…. Who knows?

Loads of success to you and your blogging in 2011.

  6. Good for you Linda. I look at mine in a like way. Your family will have this as well. I wonder how long these sites will last. As long as they do our spirit lives and I like that idea a lot.

I still can’t wait for spring to get here. There’s so much snow around.

  8. Linda, I’ll be sure to keep checking in on farmlife in Colorado in 2011.
Your comment on liking brown swiss dairy cattle was apt, as we also have a couple of Jersey-Brown Swiss crosses. One, a beautiful young cow, daughter of the old Jersey pictured.
    Wishing you a wonderful 2011.

  9. I’m all about stats. I think this has to show how well you express your life in words that hold our attention. When I first found the world of blogging I searched for anything I could find with a farming theme. I am now back down to just three. Your site being the most interesting to me. I just can’t get over the conditions you have to contend with while maintaining a farm in your environment there in Colorado?? Keep up the good work, hoping you have many more years farming and blogging!!
