Hi Linda, Since I have NEITHER of them, I have no idea what you are talking about… That just looks like a path which the cows make to and from –between field and feeders….. And it looks like they may have cleaned that field really well….BUT–I really have no idea what I’m supposed to see. Tell us please!!!! ha

My stepfather ran cattle on a mountain summer range when I was a kid. I can’t tell you how many times hikers would get off the marked hiking trails and onto a cow trail, because it was obviously better used, and end up lost in the willows in a meadow. My two horses even have a trail through their fairly small (3 acre) pasture. I guess it’s something herd animals do.
