We just got back from a small trip to Greeley where we were able to visit with Terry’s family.

The trip over was good accept for hitting Silverthorne and all of the weekend traffic heading back into the Denver area.
Usually, on a good day, from the tunnel you can get into Denver in an hour
But when there is weekend ‘returning’ traffic that changes….stop and go, stop and go is the norm.
So for a hour drive, we were able to make it in 2 hours and 28 minutes.
We thought about going over Loveland Pass, but you would still have the problem of entering horrible slow traffic.
I saw things along the mountainside that I would have never seen going 75 miles an hour.
Now…back to work, we are pulling beans so they can dry. Then in about a week (if the weather holds) we will combine.
Happy Sunday everyone!
Linda

It’s nice to hear you do get out and away from work …although that trip sounded like work. Your scenery is beautiful, I often wish I was more of a traveller….but now since being turned on to Blog land I don’t have. Hope you get your Beans etc in and everything done before a big weather change.

I hope your weather holds, we’ve had thunderclouds this past week. No rain much in the valley, but there has been in the foothills and mountains. It’s supposed to snow at higher elevations next week. Eeek! I am not ready for winter. (As if that would make a difference to the planet.)

Where we live, the maximum legal speed is 60mph ….. but on a lot of the back roads 20 – 30 mph is the top speed. We have no dual carriage/motorways where you can do 70 mph, so it is always a shock when we go to visit our son and encounter motorways with 3 lanes, whereas on our road, two cars can barely squeeze past each other!!

Those drive by photo shoots are much better when the guy doing the driving is going a bit slower too 😉

That’s a great picture of Terry and his family. End of the weekend traffic is miserable no matter where we are. You a great high-speed drive by shooter. I hope the weatherman cooperates with your bean harvest.

Slowing down to see the world can be a good thing. If we can just slow down our stress and enjoy the sights instead of fretting, Beautiful scenery lives in Colorado.

Ah forced to slow down! I made it up there this weekend and how splendid the weather was. Good luck with your wonderful, creamy fat pintos!

Is that a mine entrance in the last picture?
The widget in the middle of your pictures that shows a whole gallery is very cool.
Glad you had a nice visit with your family. 🙂
