I thank everyone who left me comments on the blog and I apologize for not responding to each comment.  It isn’t because I didn’t want to.  Last week I slipped on the very wet, muddy ditch bank and dislocated a rib on my breast bone.   I am getting better every day, but still have to use caution with my left arm.  The worst part is the pain whenever I take a breath, but that too is starting to ease.

The rains have finally left…

Leaving us will lots of sunshine and warm days with cool nights.  True fall is upon us.

If everything goes as planned we hope to be able to start the pinto bean harvest soon.

  1. Take care and take it easy so you can heal quickly. Your crash didn’t hurt your photographer’s eye. Those shots are great. I hope the beans dry out quickly for a bountiful harvest.

  3. Hope you’re feeling better. I’m behind in blogs so I’m catching up. And I’m jealous of your fall cool weather. Yesterday (9/21) it was 107 here. I can tolerate this heat for three months of summer but when it goes into autumn I just get mad. 😦

  4. I’m sorry sorry you are hurt. That is so painful. Robert was diving with a 14 year old standing on his shoulder and diving at the same time (really smart). When they came down the weight of the kid fractured a vertebrae. The doctor said you’ve got 2 choices: I can put you in traction for a month or else give you a bag of codiene and you can take it easy. Of course he opted for the bag of codiene.

  5. Oh wow Linda, I hadn’t been over for a while… so missed this post (only while reading Boomer’s this morning that I realised something was amiss).
What a painful thing to happen. Big hugs [[ ]]
