Sunday October 2, 2011

Even though the days are nice and warm the nights are chilly, dropping into the high 30s.  Gradually the trees are pushing off thier leaves, scattering the last of summer onto the paths in my garden.

The evening light through the corn also speaks of turning leaves.

Corn harvest next, but it has to freeze first.   For now I’m going to enjoy these beautiful warm days and cool nights.  Getting through the bean harvest is enough for the moment.

  1. I sure wish we could have some of that sunshine! I am enjoying looking at it here though! We are cooling down into the 60’s during the day and down in the 40’s at night. You enjoy that lovely weather because as we both know they are numbered 😉

  2. I love the feeling of fall. It is happy and sad, but leaves me with the impression that something will be coming. I don’t particularly care for the shorter days, but I like the idea of staying warm and snug in the house, doing house ‘things’! We haven’t had a freeze yet, either, and I’m loving it!

  6. Wow! Your corn is very green yet. Here the corn is dry, dry, dry! Therefore the complaint on my blog about dust. Harvest is in full force.
Tonight is the first time this week I cooked!
