The next to the last field has been opened — that means Dad is done doing enough of the tractor work it’s time to put the gated pipe together and start the water on that field. This field is another corn field, but the gated pipe will water the pinto bean field.
Dad and Mom had to put the pipe together for the pinto bean field because the run off from the last corn field goes to water the bean field and the last alfalfa field before leaving our farm and heading on over to the next farm. But since the bean ground isn’t ready yet, the water will run through the gated pipe anyway and water the older alfalfa field then leave our farm.
We moved siphon tubes and got the water flowing. Sure was a good feeling.
The next day, Mom asked us to get in the back of the pick-up and go to TOWN.
Oh, what joy!
Boomer has learned to hop in the back now and he loves to ride with us. Remember when he first came he was very afraid and wouldn’t get in the truck unless I got in first? I think he has made huge strides in being a good farm dog!
Anyway we got to town and Mom dropped us OFF at the Dog GROOMERS!!!!
That was hours of misery. I shook and trembled and moaned the whole time. Boom of course LOVED the whole experience. He hopped right into the bathing tub and sat there while Mom and the groomer put me into the waiting area.
I
DID
NOT
WANT
TO
BE
THERE!
About 90 minutes of pure hell and torture Mom came and picked us up.
Yep! That’s me.
I can’t decide if I like this new look or not!
Makes me feel —- well naked.
And Mom wouldn’t let me jump into the ditches, said I was just shampooed so I have to stay out of the muddy water.
I
MEAN
GEEZ!
Then the heat of the next day hit and
Hummmm
I guess this new look is alright.
I feel a lot cooler!
Fuzzy

Oh Fuzzy, You look incredible… I love the new Summer look!!!!! You will be much cooler during the hot summer… Boomer looks great also… Even though you don’t like those trips to the Groomers, I’m sure you feel much better now…
Glad Mom and Dad are getting all of the water lines in!!!!!!!
Have a great weekend.

Betsy

Dear Fuzzy,
I know just how you feel. I have to go into the groomers every 3 months. Mom is now making noise about taking me more often, like every 6 weeks. I’m just not sure how I’ll stand it. Sure, when the weather gets hot it is nice to have that short hair cut but the agony of getting it cut might just cancel it out.
Take care,
Nessa

Truly laughing out loud. Poor naked Fuzzy. It looks like Boomer is giving the camera a smirk and a wink at the new haircut. But I think Fuzzy does look cool.
We had pinto beans in our chili the other day. I thought of my friend in Colorado.
We have snow on our tulips. Hope this cruddy weather missed you.

Oh, Fuzzy, you handsome pup, you!!! You look great and cooler, too. Boomer looks good, too, but not quite as big a change as you are. I’m glad you stayed out of the muddy water, you might have had to go back to the groomer if you did!!! 😦 I’m not sure I would like that either.
Glad Mom and Dad are making progress with the watering. It’s a hard job.
Keep cool…your friend,
Lucky

Fuzzless, at least the groomer didn’t put one of those awful pink ribbons in your hair or make puff balls around your ankles or tail. I think you look like a dog that’s totally ready for summer.

Oh Fuzzy you do look so handsome and those white ‘socks’ are perfect!! Have you actually looked in a mirror – or seen your reflection? If you have then, you’d have to admit – you’re gorgeous!!!!

I glanced through the photos before reading the text and seriously thought you had gotten a new puppy. We have a red tri Aussie and when she gets her summer cut, you could make another dog out of the mound of fur that’s sheared off. And neighbors ask if we’ve gotten a new dog.

Strange how warm it is this April. Makes me a bit nervous for what the rest of the year hold for weather. Good thing the fuzzy has a summer hair cut.

Fuzzy, I didn’t recognize you! Hope your weather is kind ( warm) to you and your new haircut. Ours would not be the best. A hard frost put an end to the apple blossoms.

Fuzzy, you look like your sheep sister Renny. You two are the exact same color now under all that dark “wool” :-D.

VERY cute post!! Fuzzy…you look fabulous and you’ll enjoy the cut in the coming summer months!
Thanks for stopping by my blog. Yes, our areas look similar. Actually, with all your farm ground and irrigation, it really looks like Vale and Ontario Oregon where they grow a lot of row crops, including onions and corn, with the canal and siphon hose method. The only thing that grows well here is alfalfa and meadow grass for hay…and of course cattle.
