Buena Vista and the Cottonwood Inn and Spa

Right after the Zip line tour we headed up to Buena Vista, Colorado.  The kids had given us two night stay at the Cottonwood Inn and Spa.  Because of the farm we thought we would do one stay in the summer and one this coming winter.

We went from extreme thrill to a haven of rejuvenation.

We had great food in Buena Vista, (the Inn doesn’t serve food) soaked and thought of nothing stressful, slept, got up soaked again. Then headed home.

  1. Well you certainly would relax there. I looked the place up from your link. Almost monastic?
Nevertheless, a good place to just rest and let the world go by.
I think too many rules for me and most Aussies I would suggest.
Anyhow, seems you enjoyed the stay and that is the important aspect and reason
for the break from farm chores.
Hope the rain is falling in your area?
    Cheers

Weather report: The coldest morning so far this year – Brrrrrrrrr! Just 4 celsius.
I know to many of your viewers that is not cold, but to me it is bloody freezing! ha ha.

  2. I hope you were able to go at least a few hours without worrying about the farm. Glad you got to go.
I’m sitting here in Dallas, remembering Paonia Cherry Days when I was a kid — long time ago.

  3. Lucky You! That looks like heaven. I’ve been ALMOST to Buena Vista when I took my mom and my sister on a road trip through Colorado. We stayed overnight in Leadville and then took the pass on highway 82 over to Aspen. Wild road–GREAT scenery. I think I could live in that part of the world and love it, even though the altitude is HIGH and the snow gets deep.

  4. That had to be glorious! I am so glad you got to spend the time there…and that you at least felt that wonderful rain on your skin after so long of being dry at home!
