We have a leaf removing wind come in this morning right around 5:30
It has blown all day…not hard, but hard enough that we went from lovely leaves on the tree to lovely leaves on the lawn
and every place else
I have winterized the garden hoses and the pump
We are all buttoned up, where it comes to the water.
Here is my 4 O’clock photo — The Day length is now 10 hours and 54 minutes. Sunrise starts at 7:30ish and sets around 6:51 or so in the evening.

Sounds like winter is coming….. Fall seems to be passing by so fast this year… Many many of our leaves are falling now—like rain. We raked and blew leaves on Monday –and today, you can’t tell it at all!!!!! ha… Guess we’ll be back at it this afternoon.
Hugs,
Betsy

Hi Linda, a beautiful day here in Maine. There are now more leaves on the ground than on the trees, leaf peeping season is quickly coming to a close. Pitch black at 6:00 PM, Have a lovely evening, Julie.

Fall looks beautiful on the farm Linda. Too bad the wind doesn’t know how to pick up the leaves and put them where you want them.

I like the trees in the background of one picture where the tops are bending with the wind.
This week a storm blew in and dumped lots of snow on us. Last weekend the Rockies were very white.

We’ve had several windy days as well, and we spent most of the afternoon trying to pick up some of the leaves that are on our lawn.

I love your pictures Linda, the leaves on the grass are beautiful, and so is the daily photo of your garden.

Your shadows at 4 are as long as ours…
No bad winds here yet…keep your fingers crossed that we don’t get Hurricane Sandy next week – I’d gladly take your cold over THAT.
