I Should Have Known

Hay-FirstAnd with the 4010 also!

The Doctor said it was a torn muscle…it will heal, the tear doesn’t seem to be real bad—so with ice, rest, elevating the leg in two weeks it will be good to go.

Sure!

Two weeks –an eternity–so off we went.

I made sure the bales were straight so he wouldn’t have to get off the tractor; he did the rest.

Today he says his leg feels a lot better and he will soon be back in shape by the weekend.

I sure hope so! Β He is going to make sure it is.

I guess I’m not surprise.

  1. I sustained a nasty sprained ankle last week. I’m not 16 years old like the last time I sprained an ankle… I don’t know how long I’ll be hobbling around! Hope we both heal up soon, sending him my best wishes (and understanding :))

  3. It’s difficult enough to slow and and/or stop activity to heal, but even more challenging when there is SO much work to be done. Here’s hoping for quick healing and finding ways to get it all done and still protect the injury.

  4. As Cyndi said, that is a ‘guy’ thing… Nothing is going to stop him from doing what he needs to do… Bless you, Linda… I know you will ‘try’ to keep him from making it worse… He’s in my prayers –and so are you… God Bless.

  5. Reminds me of our neighborhood farm family. The youngest brother went to Las Vegas and married a woman with 3 kids all with different fathers. The other two brothers were more upset that he took off for Las Vegas IN THE MIDDLE OF HAYING!!!!!

  6. Typical guy when it comes to health issues. We are invincible or so we think. I hope he soon recovers. Now what is this business of keeping the bales straight? The bales and the field look lush and green.

  7. I’ve never seen one of these “bale stackers” (?) in action…around here, the hay is baled in much smaller bales, and put into the barn right away. I hope your hubby’s is soon fully recovered. There’s never a good time to be “down and out” on the farm!
