We are gradually getting back to a ‘normal’ life routine. I am still a tad bit over-whelmed, but I am making headway.
Terry checked the alfalfa this morning — it’s looking like maybe, just maybe, he can start baling tomorrow morning. (Fingers crossed since another storm is due in here in Saturday).
Today we have to go get wood for the winter. At some point soon, I hope, I can get my house cleaned and my yard weeded. We will see, some things just have to wait.
Have a good one everyone…it’s a beautiful day here.
Linda

House cleaned……still working on that! I need to get it done–all of it—before Tuesday next week!
Fire wood is a priority for me too. Week after next i hope. This time of year can get a bit overwhelming!

Normal, bah! Okay okay I know it’s good.
We have been getting the tippy-tip ends of your storms: just enough humidity to collect in big puffy cumulus clouds over the mountains, but nothing more. Our local morning news didn’t like the sound of “monsoonal moisture” so they asked viewers to give better suggestions. I think the winner was “sauna storms.” So very California.

Hope you get your haying done before the rain. Pretty sunset pictures. Yep, so things Like Cameron says, they’ll still be there tomorrow!

If you can make your way from one room to another, you don’t need to worry much about cleaning yet. 🙂

As we drove through Idaho and Utah we saw a lot of alfalfa and hay in different stages; some cut, some raked, some baled. I thought of you guys and wondered how your cutting was going. Glad to hear that you might be able to get it baled before another storm rolls through. We are now back in Colorado. We are in Estes Park… and it is raining!

Your pictures are gorgeous, Linda. The housework will wait….wood must come before winter. ‘Course, if you’re like me, the housework doesn’t wait, it has the audacity of piling up! 😦
Just got another rain! It’s good, but the weeds are getting way too tall around here. Now I will have to start all over again as this rain will bring new weeds. But, am lovin’ the rain, so will have to take the weeds, too.
Take care….blessings!

Timing on your hay is everything or you don’t get top dollar. I hope you get lucky with the weather. Ours is dull and cloudy and about 16 C this afternoon.

You’re not the only one behind on weeding and other household chores. For some reason it seems as if days have fewer hours than they used to. We have fingers crossed that the weather holds until the hay is baled and put up.
