Terry got the diesel combine fixed…Which is just wonderful!  He thought It was the thermostat…he drilled several holes in the old one, made a new gasket and IT WAS!  He got a load and headed into town around 2:30, making two loads in one day.  I don’t drive the combine or the truck.  I could and would drive the truck but that girl is terribly temperamental….Terry says she is a a girl….I don’t know I could apply the same to guys.

He got unloaded and was back at dark!  UNHEARD OF!!

Gold-Light If every thing holds together…the corn will be done in 7 more days! I’ve looked at the weather charts and it looks like the weather is going to stay nice for at least that long.  Of course it can always change.

Barn

Then Tally started draping herself all around the furniture while I was working giving me huge sighs.  I asked her if she was bored and she said she was bored and wanted to go to school.

We called her Mom and she said she could come to school (since she wasn’t contagious) which was good.  I asked everyone to come to supper last night, so they did.  She looked lots better!

Shine-on

My finger is slow.  Like most of you have said I will hit in on everything.  I do.  I wear a finger guard most of the time, but sometimes I take it off and then have to put it back on.  The swelling is down so that is good.

Everyone seems to have found the deer so I won’t post where she is.  There were two deer there.  The one in the hidden pictures was looking at me in the first one, then she was eating.

The other deer was just sitting up on the little hill watching something in the distance.

Deer-1Aren’t they pretty?

Well, today everything begins again.

I hope everyone is doing well I hope to get around and visit each of you sometime today!

You friend on a Western Colorado Farm,

Linda

  3. Awesome news–getting the combine fixed…. YEAH!!! Good for Terry. I laughed at him calling the ‘temperamental’ vehicle a GIRL…. My hubby does the same thing… IF it is temperamental for him, it HAS to be a GIRL… ha ha

Glad your granddaughter is better also. NOW—just be careful and get that finger better too. Okay???

    Have a great day.
    Hugs,
    Betsy

  4. I’m glad to hear that Tally was well enough to return to school and that Terry got the combine running. Now if you could only get your finger ‘fixed’ as quickly. I hope the weather man is correct and your corn is harvested before any bad weather returns.

  5. It is good that granddaughter has returned to school..its ok being at home when you are poorly but once you get better, you need to get back to normal life. It is nice that as Grandmother youare able to help out..I cannot do that.
Men can be quite clever at mending things but they do sometimes say the silliest things……

  6. Is the red barn and buildings on your property ? Or is it buildings you don’t use anymore ? Such a colorful picture. I love it ! Glad everything is on the mend at your house.

  7. Temperamental! Yes, could apply to men too. 😉 I had to laugh at the ‘draping herself all over the furniture’ because my kids do that too, or they drape themselves over me like I am a human jungle gym.

  8. Some incredible pictures there, Linda. Especially the outbuildings and the sun through the picket fence. Thanks for posting them.

Pretty mama deer. I love seeing the deer around here. This is where they come when hunting starts. Outta the wheat fields and into the rocks.

  10. Prayers that the weather holds! I know Terry must be thrilled to have gotten the machinery fixed without a huge cost in time or finances!
Are your deer, mule deer or whitetail?
