Sail Along Silver Moon– Thursday, December 4, 2014

MoonThe moon is rising late in the day,

The Moon 9It’s not a completely full moon yet, but it’s getting there.

SilverBy six in the evening it’s dark here, but the moonlight casts beautiful silver light illuminating the corn field.  Boomer and I don’t even have to use a light to drive back home from the combine.  🙂  A gift from nature.

I got these photos on Monday.  I was hoping on Tuesday I could get better ones since the moon would be fuller by then.  Of course high thin clouds started drifting in–by three in the afternoon the high thin clouds had turned in to thicker heavier clouds that promised rain or snow.  CROSSED FINGERS —-go away moisture…go away…we are just getting good and started —hiss, hiss!!!

Anyway, I was glad I got a photo of the moon on Tuesday!

Your friend,

Linda

  1. Wow, you have blue skies and sunshine ! Its dark here at 4:00 pm and we have had about a total of eight hours of sun in the last month and bitter cold…..daytime temps rarely above 32 degrees. Count yourselves lucky. Glad that corn is getting in and you’re cashing out a profit. Every little bit helps….but so much work for you and Terry.

    The moon is a beauty.

  2. It has been raining here in the high desert for 2 days straight…..yea. I will try to keep the storm here and away from you. (smile), but you know what happens here weatherwise happens to you in a couple of days. Luckily our farmers here have all their hay in and no corn is grown here so it is OK. Your moon pictures are beautiful.

  3. I will have that song going through my head for a while. But there are worse things that could go through my head.

  4. Looks like the moons been hooked! It’s dark here by 4:30! Ugh! I’m sorta getting used to it. I get so bored when it gets dark early. I have to be outside!
