It’s wet here. Again! Very wet. We are still setting and changing water. It doesn’t stop, just because of weather. I’m tired of wet. I miss the sun.
Although, all this wet has brought on the green, so I guess I had just better thank my lucky stars. Water is good.
Last evening, though, in-between down-pours, as we were making the last set of the day
The clouds parted, allowing the sun to burst forth,
Bringing with it the most beautiful of natural wonders
There we were out on the ditch bank, getting soaked and cold, when the sun broke through the clouds and gave us rainbows.
Now, really, who could ask for more? Not I.
The first rainbows of the year and I was where I could see them!
YAY!
Your friend on a western Colorado farm,
Linda
Rainbows are the blessing that accompanies the wet.

Yes—we do need the water/rain, but like you, when we get so much of it (and it’s very very cool here today–and dreary), it does make us yearn for some sunshine!!!!!! Love the RAINBOWS though.
Hugs,
Betsy

We got some unseasonable, but most welcome rain this weekend, just in time to rescue lawns that were beginning to turn dry. But alas no rainbows.

Moisture! I’m so glad for you. That in and of itself is a huge gift.

I love watching that rainbow grow! Great pictures. When we see a rainbow around here, it’s in between tall brick buildings, cable, phone, and power wires, trees, and streetlight poles. Still beautiful, but different!

Beautiful no matter where they are found, you are so right.

Quite ironic to be setting irrigation pipes … while getting rained on! Very glad you could appreciate the beauty of the changing sky. 🙂

Very nice capture Linda. I saw a picture on RFD TV that someone in New York state ( I think ) snapped. It had four bows in it. Now that’d make you smile big, eh? Been wet here in SW Iowa too, although no one is belly achin’ too much, as we had very little snowfall last winter, thanks for posting. JJ

when i was in Barbados rain was called ‘liquid sunshine’…..and I always think that each raindrop is a drop of happiness from Heaven
Also, most important….the sun is shining here in Bulgaria so if you have sun we might well lose it

Sorry I’ve been away for a bit. So busy. We’re moving! and you know how that is, I suppose. I am a real grump when it comes to mud, but when I open my mind, I love rain. A rainy day suits me fine. Even if I have to be in it. The rainbow, though, is the big bonus. How beautiful to see that big, vast sky spread out before you.

Definitely not fun having to be out setting water in the rain BUT you know as I do that the moisture is very needed and well, we don’t get a say in the “nature of things”! LOL Hey we had snow yesterday so there! 🙂

Truly beautI full Linda. And I see by your later post that the rain has let up some. I know you need rain as everybody in the world does. I try to remember that but don’t always succeed.
