Our oldest daughter is a hair dresser by trade, having trained in New York City at the Vidal Sassoon Training Academy/School whatever it is called, plus worked in Cherry Creek and in San Francisco where she taught others her skills. Today she and Jason live in our other house (YAY) and she works in Grand Junction, Colorado.
The really nice part of having her close is we get to have our hair ‘done’ right here on the farm. When Terry went to pay her she said: “Just give me a ride in one of the cars.”
A win-win for all of us!
Your friend on a western Colorado farm,
Linda

I’d take a ride in one of those as payment too!

That’s a groovy old car!!!!! And I love the addition of “whatever it is called.” Girl after my own heart. I don’t finish names or sentences all the time either.

Gorgeous GTO. Haven’t seen one of those in decades. I miss those muscle cars. My brother-in-law had a 1970 Chevy Chevelle SS 454 when I was a senior in high school. That was one heck of a powerful car. It could smoke the tires in 4th gear just by punching the accelerator.
He had to sell it a year after he bought it as his insurance and gas bills were killing them.

Now that he is an old man, and can afford the car, he needs to get another one. Those are super sot after cars today!

I did that for my mother too. She never had to pay for a hair stylist if I was in the area. A lot of the time, I wasn’t. In the end, she was my only client. It’s what you do for moms. 🙂 Lucky you.

I always think having a hairdresser, a cook and an accountant as children would make life as a farmer’s wife so much easier. Lucky you to have got one third of that at any rate!

Now that is a good deal. I think I have enough to donate now and should get a haircut anyday…I wonder if they take grey for donations:)

I would think so…besides grey is a fashion color now.
