For 37 years Terry was a lineman for the power company—most of that time he was a Line Foreman. (Here they are repairing a broken top of a pole —-an electric pole…not a telephone pole!)
This was taken when they were helping with a huge fire at Paonia, Colorado
Here they are sitting a power pole.
All the wind we have been having caused one of the yard lights to trip a breaker then go out.
Still a lineman!
Love,
Linda
One of my favorite country songs…Witchita Lineman. Go Terry!

Terry has always reminded me of my late, beloved father. He was a lineman, then foreman before becoming supervisor of the local Indiana electric company.

In our case, it was a tree branch that took out the power line a few houses down the road yesterday.
You are lucky he knows what to do so you don’t have to wait around.
Have a blessed week and God bless.

How handy is that eh. He knows what to do and does it. My brother- in- law is a journeyman lineman and electrician for Mountain Parks Electric in Granby. Thanks for posting.

To paraphrase the Marines — ‘Once a lineman, always a lineman’.

I didn’t know (or had forgotten) that Terry had ever been a lineman. A skill well worth hanging onto, obviously.

As a rural electric cooperative employee, this makes me smile! I’m glad to read that Terry is now serving as a board director. I think employees can make wonderful board members!

Linemen have my utmost respect! We had a terrible snowstorm in the Arizona mountains and my mother was on oxygen. Fortunately she had small canisters available for travel that carried her through until the house had power again to get her house machine working again. I was never so grateful for anyone as those men that were out in that horrendous weather to get power restored in short order. I think we take too many people for granted in this world.I have a great deal of respect for truckers too. I can’t tell you how many times they have helped me out even when they didn’t realize they were doing it. I’m happy you have your own lineman. It’s not a job I would want for any amount of money but I’m glad someone is willing to do it. 🙂 Hope you had a great Mother’s Day.
