We were sitting on a soccer field Saturday, when Terry noticed one of the lights had a giant nest on top.
As the game played out we kept an eye on the nest seeing the little head of the chick inside.
Suddenly an Osprey parent was there, the chirps from the chick were so loud we could hear them over the shouting on the field.
Then (after the food had been passed to the little one) the parent took flight —off to find more food.
It was a glorious site to behold.

How exciting! One never knows where Osprey will nest, so keep looking up! There was one over a ball field here last year.

We thought it might have been an eagle, at first, then when the parent flew in we KNEW!

At last you find something real fascinating on a ball field, what a lovely sight that was!!! I hope the soccer game was at least a trifle worth while, if not you have at least this lovely parenthood to lean on.

It was fun…our youngest granddaughter was playing and her Dad is the coach!
