On the last day of August we had a thunder storm! The clouds roiled and thundered, but dropped only a smattering of rain.
But we still received a gift of light
Making the sky look like we were in a globed crystal
The light strobed through the dark and dreary cloud, rippling upwards through the raindrops, then grew brighter as it arched through the heavens
A great prism of color! Shouting it’s incredible beauty for anyone who saw!

I hope the rain was just what you wanted. The rainbow is beautiful — like you, I always think of them as a gift. We have smoke terrible here again today — no danger from fire, but terrible air quality socking in our valley

My sister is visiting Denver until tomorrow. Hope she gets to see those beautiful skies as well. We have been more than 90 days without rain and it just keeps eluding us. Everything here is a haze of smoke and it’s all I can smell. Your rainbow gives me some hope.

Too many fires. Even my daughter worked from home today. God, please send some rain! Most of these fires are set by humans doing stupid things.
