We Took off Friday and Saturday—-Sunday, October 22, 2017

We decided to take the weekend off and hang out with our grandchildren

Friday was Blade’s last Cross-Country meet

Where we cheered all the kids running, but ‘specially,

our Grandson.:)

Then Saturday we went to Parachute, Colorado  where we watched our

oldest Granddaughter’s two soccer games against Telluride, Colorado

The views on that soccer field are amazing!

We didn’t get to our youngest grand daughters very first basketball game at Coal Ridge, since we couldn’t get there in enough time, but she informed us she went for a lay-up using the right foot and right hand AND she dribbled all the way down the court!

Then after visiting for a couple of hours it was time to head back home.  Neither Terry or I like to drive into the sun or after dark so we headed home around four.

We sure had a nice enjoyable break!

Your friend on a western Colorado farm,

Linda

  1. I was in Telluride about 50 years ago, I loved Colorado. My dad was in the British army and he was posted to Alabama in the 1960s and he thought we should see the country so we did. We never made it to San Francisco because my dad had already been there in the 1940s and did not see the point in going back!

  2. Appears to have been a great sporting day for the grandparents.
Fantastic to see your young ones competing.

PS: At last 2 days here of steady rain! My God it is needed and some more also.

  3. So glad you could get away to see all the grandkids games. The scenery is really beautiful up that away! We had a cold front come thru last night and it is now hanging around. Guess late Fall is showing it’s colors! Possible snow Friday night!! Guess I’m ready.

    Blessings!

  4. I’m glad you got to support your grandchildren in person, in their sports! I have so many memories of watching both our kids on the cross country course over the past 8 years! What an amazing view from that soccer field! I would say it doesn’t get any better than that!!
