We were fogged in all night last night, until a wee while after sunrise
A white mist curling through the darkness into the light
Touching everything remote and close, making the world look beautiful and unreal
The silver air chimes softly, as the sun climbs over head…
Although (still) not warm enough to melt the hoar frost (it’s ten o’clock in the morning) the very air seems to peal and cascade like ascending and descending notes of a harp.
Cascading, singing, praising the beauty everywhere.
From my world to your heart,
Linda

I enjoy all your photos, but the last one is absolutely gorgeous!

The world of fairy came on the heels of Jack Frost!

I was gonna comment on same photo — right down the HWY (or whatever road) @ edge of your field. ’tis amazing how practically each day you have the eye and position and “willing subjects” (?) to take many excellent photos ~

Lovely! I can’t believe the sun dogs this year. Twice now we have been in the county to the north of and seen pairs of them that go from the horizon all the way to the zenith. Astounding!

I’ve only seen two of those in my life…what a gift!

Your pictures are beautiful Linda, but I can’t believe you don’t have a good snow cover yet. Isn’t that unusual for you by this time of the year? Thank you for the always great blog!

We are terribly dry. The mountains are suffering. The DOW and the Forest Service are talking about not letting cows range on government land this year, because of the dryness. It’s been almost a year without good moisture.

Wow….sorry to hear that. I’ll pray you get some good snows this winter yet.

Hoar frost just makes everything so incredibly beautiful, doesn’t it?! Your pictures are gorgeous, Linda! We’re to get a front on Wednesday, too. Winds 50-60 mph with blowing dust changing to flurries that night. We all need to hunker down!! 🙂
Blessings!
