We continued working in that unruly garden bed
Until we got down to just the large stump hiding in the old water tank
BUT! Wait! What is THAT!?!?!
Hopping along, in the turned over dirt, was the FIRST ROBIN of SPRING!
YAY!
Now when the Swallows appear we are fully back into the that shimmering, gossamer, gorgeous WARM time called SUMMER!
Your friend on a western Colorado Farm,
Linda

A Robin! Bet you are jumpin’ for joy!
Have you decided to remove the 4 o’clock garden?

Yes, that is what we were doing…getting rid of the 4 O clock garden it’s all gone now.

We don’t get robins here so I’ll just take your sighting as a sign of spring.

SUMMER?! Wow, let’s not get ahead of things. I am not ready to let winter go. I am so behind on so many of the chores.

I’m getting caught up…but, for me, I love Summer best!

Well, I suppose if our winters were like yours, summer would be more popular here too.

Love the Robins. I grew up with them everywhere, all year long. I remember them in snow. I was sad to only see them in the Spring in Texas. When I moved back home, no more Robins. I rarely see them, now. They seem to appear, like, one week during the Spring and that’s it.
They used to be everywhere!

OH! That is sad. They don’t stay here like they used either…by August they are gone.
