Looking up

In that impossibly wondrous sky

Are those marvelous flying machines

Traveling from here to there and even beyond, into worlds not known

Part of the heavens, yet still of the earth.

From my world your heart,

Linda

  1. Those flying machines are going from San Jose to Vienna! . . . or maybe Vermont! Wherever they are going it must be something special. I can not see many through the redwoods, but we get significant air traffic here in the flight paths of major airports of San Francisco, San Jose and Oakland. The airplanes are too low to leave contrails, but they are compelling anyway. I have been on airplanes only four times; one round trip from San Jose to Los Angeles and back, and another round trip from San Jose to Portland and back. I would rather enjoy the drive, and maybe occasionally look up and wonder where everyone else is going.
