2nd Cutting of Alfalfa—-we are smack dab in the middle of Summer now. (Third cutting of alfalfa will be at the ending of Summer 🙂 )

Actually, the first day of summer was: Summer 2021 in Northern Hemisphere began on
Sunday, June 20.

Well, HERE on the farm—the middle of Summer is now. Because of the hay harvest. And for me the beginning of Summer is always the first day of June 🙂 So even if the calendar says June 20th….the crops say Middle. The next cutting of Alfalfa will be the start of Fall and all the things that need harvesting here on the farm. 🙂 And for me the First day of Fall is the first day of September.

Yeah for a second cutting! Farmers around here barely got any bales because it has been so dry…they are hoping for a second cutting:)
