The sky is shot-through with bugs, this time of year
Their little bodies are caught in your hair, on your face, and smashed on your glasses
Sometimes they like to sting you
Diving right to you—————-RUN, I think, but instead I snap a photo π
Then taking off like a speeding plane
I mean…after all…I have to see if I can get a photo.
I think you know me well enough by now. π
Your friend on a western Colorado farm,
Linda
This is really funny. I experienced some of that in France this summer. We’d be taking walks, and talking of course, and they’d fly right into our mouths. It happened way more often than we would have liked! And more than usual…so funny.

I’m sure there are others in my gardens but the ones that give me the most pleasure and “fear” are my Bees. I’m sure that there’s a Bee PSA that says I’m a safe human and I won’t hurt them (I’m just watering); but, there is always that young punk that buzzes my head and sends me running off. I know they all get a good laugh at my expense. I can only imagine the hilarity if one of those bugs you pictured buzzed me!

I’ve been stung so many times this summer I’ve taken to watering early, early before they wake up!

That reminds me…growing up on my GM’s farm, I’d have June bugs fly into my hair and Bumbles bounce off my nose as I sniffed Rose of Sharon bushes. ππ
