Bright and early
Just as the light started to grey in the eastern sky
We headed out with the 730 to join the Fly Wheelers Tractor Club
On their annual fall Tractor Drive.
It was a hoot!
There were tractors from Paonia, Clifton, Montrose, Delta and Cedaredge there
Most of us wimm’n folk got to ride in the hay wagon. Ann had her own tractor so she drove 🙂

When I was growing up on the farm in Indiana we had a fly-wheel John Deere. I spent many hours (trying to start and) driving that tractor.

Interesting to see the lay of the land in your area. Seems to be nearly level all around with mountains in the background.

We had hills to climb, but mostly we are on a plateau.

I wish I could have been there, I’d have hitched a ride in the hay wagon and brought along a picnic!

The destination was a small café in another town, so food was coming up, once everyone got there! 🙂

That looks like so much fun. I have never ridden on a tractor, before. My grandparents only used a tiller.

What a hoot! I would have loved to join that. My husband found a used Farm all tractor that worked in our year a couple of years. I know the neighbors hated it but not as much as the dune buggies running circles in the dirt. Life’s too short to be all work.
