The last of the Canada geese left a few days ago.
They made a brief stop on the farm, spending the night among the Sandhill Cranes.
Then left early morning in a flutter of wings and loud calls of– follow me.
Come again, Come Again. You help make the winter be not so long.
Your friend on a western Colorado farm,
Linda
It’s funny they never seem to leave our area.

and my mated pair, who come every year, are here nesting and preparing for their new babies. They bring me joy and make me smile – much needed today.
