Putting the Farm to Bed —- Thursday, November 10, 2022

Off Terry, Boo Berry, and I went to put the farm to bed. By that I mean, we picked up all the siphon tubes and blocked up all the pipes so skunks and ‘others’ can’t get in over the winter and make nice little nests.  Those little nests become a huge problem when we start water…

Always a big amount of work, four alfalfa fields, and the corn field.  Boo Berry loves running around on the ditch bank, sniffing at all the great smells.  She will even jump into the ditch, now that water is gone.

She was tired when we got in also. 🙂

A good feeling.  But, boy, was I ever tired when we got in.

Your friend on a western Colorado farm,

Linda

  1. Oh Linda, Be careful and take it easy. It is sooo easy to get a relapse with pneumonia. Don’t ask how I know.

Hope y’all are planning a great thanksgiving.

  2. I can’t believe how fast a growing season goes by. It seems to me that you were just putting out those siphon tubes. Incredible.
