Off Terry, Boo Berry, and I went to put the farm to bed. By that I mean, we picked up all the siphon tubes and blocked up all the pipes so skunks and ‘others’ can’t get in over the winter and make nice little nests. Those little nests become a huge problem when we start water…
Always a big amount of work, four alfalfa fields, and the corn field. Boo Berry loves running around on the ditch bank, sniffing at all the great smells. She will even jump into the ditch, now that water is gone.
She was tired when we got in also. 🙂
A good feeling. But, boy, was I ever tired when we got in.
Your friend on a western Colorado farm,
Lulu: “Good night farm!”
Charlee: “Good night tubes!”
Chaplin: “Good night fields where corn stalks grew!”
Java Bean: “Good night ditches dry for now!”
Lulu: “You’ll all wake up when it’s time to plow!”

THANK YOU!!! That was PERFECT!!!
I bet it feels great to be out in the sunshine with Boo Betty and the land ~
Just glad you’re feeling better!
How’s the corn drying?
Terry will check it next week.
Oh Linda, Be careful and take it easy. It is sooo easy to get a relapse with pneumonia. Don’t ask how I know.
Hope y’all are planning a great thanksgiving.
I hope your Thanksgiving is wonderful also.
Momma, I hope my care package is helping.
The above comment reminds me of “Goodnight Moon.”
It is thank you so much!
That is a big job done, I bet you are tired. All the outside work is done here now except for the show shoveling:( Still just rain and 35 F so it will change soon. Take it easy!!
I can work for an hour, then I have to rest for three hours and then can do an hour again. It’s a long slog but I’m making it.
I can’t believe how fast a growing season goes by. It seems to me that you were just putting out those siphon tubes. Incredible.
I know…the older I get the faster it goes. Soon we will be harvesting corn!
I bet you are tired! Well done …
