Mom told me once,
“Growing old is hard
Because, if you are not careful
You can start to feel useless”.
“So, remember”, she admonished,
Stay busy.
“Move. Stay interested in life. Which will help you live. At this point of your life, you can not waste time.”
I miss you, Momma and Daddy.
I miss you!
From my world to your heart,
Linda
Oh my goodness. This speaks straight to me. Wise words.

This is so sweet and kind. It amazes me how we weave webs across continents and oceans. Have a beautiful day, Linda.

She was wise… but I’ll never feel useless while I have a home, hound and Husband to care for (not necessarily in that order!)

It’s very hard to do–don’t you think? We keep trying, though. And that is what counts

You never stop missing them. My dad always said “you are burning daylight” None to waste. He said many useful things but never in a conversation.
