We definitely need to get onto our wood pile too. Though John needs to get his body fixed too. He can barely stand unsupported at the moment. I guess he can back the tractor up though! And I do the splitting and stacking. Oh yay.
I think it is his leg. Though I canβt make him go to the doctor. He walks around holding onto stuff. But we will see. Eventually something will give.
You have my sympathy. I’m in the process of stacking now too. a few years ago I started getting it split for me, but the Annual Festival of Wood goes on.
Java Bean: “Ayyy, that looks like a big noisy machine of some sort!”
Lulu: “I have seen pictures of Mama and Dada’s log home back East with a big wood pile along the side, but this wood pile is bigger.”
Chaplin: “Oh yes. Dennis used to tell us Trixie’s stories of chasing chipmunks around the woodpile.”
Lulu: “Chasing chipmunks! Trixie was so lucky!”
You’ve given proof to the old adage that firewood warms twice: Once while splitting it and again when burning it.
